Why I Care

I have been involved with drugs and alcohol abusers for over 6 years as a Probation Officer for Proposition 36 clients.  I have heard, almost, every tragic drug abuse story imaginable from my clients.  And because of who I am and what I do, I wanted to take their past events and see if I could offer them tools in order for them to heal so they wouldn’t need to continue to hide from their feelings and past by using drugs and alcohol or any other destructive behavior.  I want them to experience how they can live without “blame”, “shame” or “guilt.”  Once the truth is uncovered and the healing begins then I can witness the “shift” in their lives and how they are transformed because of the information that has been offered to them.  I always figured we are put on this planet for a reason and my belief is that while I am here I have the fortunate opportunity to contribute and shape as many lives as I can with the tools I have been given.  There is nothing more pleasing to me when a client returns after an initial session and tells me he/she has changed their lives, by applying the information that was presented to them, because of our conversation.
